Mar 06, 2005· Don't know a thing about them, but I question just how much they can do since it only requires 8HP. 3 1/2" isn't much of a chipper really. I'm not sure what their prices are, but you may be able to get a better chipper/shredder than this chipper only that doesn't do as much.

So I only have 2 hrs. of use, but our L4310 (35 HP @ PTO) had no problem with maple, oak,and ash.

He does heavy bucket work and light land clearing (mostly for septic systems, but the occasional house lot) The chipper is of very robust construction, and jon has had no problems with it. I think he bought it used with just under 2k hours and has been running it for two years now.

Apr 25, 2003· Salsco also makes a #8416 chipper. It is a powered version of the 824. It comes on a trailer and has a 16hp Engine. With feed sensing (thats the way I would buy it) it sells for around $8000 plus shipping and tax. It works excellent. Looks just like a scaled down version of the big comercial chippers.

You can stuff a limb in the chipper and just walk away from it. The thing really runs itself. It's listed as a 4" and though I haven't measure the intake hole, it seams bigger.

They have borrowed Eicher tractors to demonstrate their product at the Sunbelt Expo for the past few years. The used the 364 35 hp to power one of their smaller chippers. I think it was the one you mentioned. It never opened the goveners.
